Jesus With Me, All Day Long!

I am overwhelmed so often
With Your sweet nearness to me!
There's no father, friend, or lover
Who can be what You can be!

Ever with me, ever near me,
As the moments flee apace.
So awash now in Your presence,
I can almost touch Your face!

Closer than the air I'm breathing!
Closer than my kin can be!
You give grace, and love, and help,
And power constantly to me!

Every day, I feel Your priceless,
Smiling presence, warm and bright-
Filling my moments with wonder,
And my heart with pure delight!

You so faithfully uphold me
With your powerful salvation,
And my heart is fully ravished
With Your tender visitation.

And, when I have occasion
To confront an earthly fear,
You so quickly reassure me,
"Fear thou not, for I AM here!"

And when I'm in the battle,
With the devil lurking nigh,
I can feel You standing by me,
With Your sword upon Your thigh.

I can feel Your urgent warning
When I start to go astray-
That still small voice behind me
Saying, "Child, this is the way!"

There's no other friend so faithful!
There's no other love so strong!
My unfathomable treasure-
Jesus with me! All day long!
